Yes, the Presidential Candidacy From Hell has been announced. This is not a surprise to many, though Sen. Hillary Clinton’s hand was forced by her primary opponent, Sen. Barack Obama.
However, the following analogy is ludicrous:
HILLARY CLINTON is to be presented as America’s Margaret Thatcher as she tries to become the first woman to win the White House. As she entered the 2008 presidential race yesterday, a senior adviser said that her campaign would emphasise security, defence and personal strengths reminiscent of the Iron Lady.
“Their policies are totally different but they are both perceived as very tough,” said Terry McAuliffe, Clinton’s campaign chairman. “She is strong on foreign policy. People have got to know you are going to keep them safe.”
Damn right, their policies are different. Baroness Thatcher, a staunch fiscal conservative, stood for liberty and limited government when she was the UK’s prime minister. Clinton is an avowed Marxist who believes that government must control every aspect of American life.
Mark my words: Hillary is not an Iron Lady; she’s like kryptonite to Superman.
Which leader would you prefer?
“We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society.”
–Hillary Clinton
“There is no such thing as society: there are individual men and women, and there are families.”
–Margaret Thatcher
“There cannot be true democracy unless women’s voices are heard.”
–HC
“The battle for women’s rights has been largely won.”
–MT
“We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.”
–HC
“There can be no liberty unless there is economic liberty.”
–MT
“”If Congress had been asked [to authorize the war in Iraq], based on what we know now, we never would have agreed.”
–HC
“I seem to smell the stench of appeasement in the air.”
–MT
Hillary Clinton should NEVER be elected president. Her Marxist rhetoric will rear its ugly head should she win — and will send the nation into a downward spiral that will ultimately lead to its destruction. It’s a risk Americans CANNOT take.
I think a woman as leader of the free world is an attainable goal; however, Clinton isn’t the right woman for the job. Nor will she ever be.
