I drank cow milk instead of soy and had a subway club sandwich for lunch. So, let’s see, that means I ate cow, turkey, and pig, all on a six-inch wheat bun, as well as drinking some of perhaps the same cow. First meat I’ve eaten for a while, but good for the cause. Besides, I haven’t shied away from meat completely, nor have I cut back on it for the same reasons that the PETAssholes preach about. See, I had a blood pressure reading of 139/101 about two months ago. That scared the sh*t out of me. Changing my diet and getting off my ass to run again brought those numbers down to 126/87. So I have maintained the process of gradually eliminating almost all meat from my diet, as well as salt and refined sugar. My grandmother has been taking heart meds since she was my age (29, as you know). I ain’t going out like that. Sorry for the lengthy explanation, mate, but I wanted to be sure to make the distinction between those of us who go vegetarian for health reasons and the wackos who do it to be self-righteous idiots. PETA’s idea of vegetarianism/veganism is fundamentalism. I have no use for that.
Those morons need to find something better to do and mind their own business.
Gumbo…. mmmmmmmmm.
Too bad I’m allergic to shrimp.
I had a nice Garden burger with a huge slice of Tillamook Monteray Jack with Jalapenos and 6 slices of bacon! Hooray!
I had a quarter slab of pork ribs at lunch, and beef for dinner.
I had roast duck. It was yummy!
We had a wonderful pot-roast. Yum.
