We now know where her loyalties lie — in bed with Hugo Chavez:
Anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan, mother of a US soldier killed in Iraq, joined more than 10,000 anti-globalization activists in Caracas, where she hailed Venezuela’s leftist President Hugo Chavez.“I admire him for his resolve against my government and its meddling,” said Sheehan, who gained notoriety when she camped outside US President George W. Bush’s ranch last year to protest the Iraq war. She said she hoped to meet Chavez later in the week.
Sheehan was among more than 10,000 people from across the Americas who took to the streets of the Venezuelan capital Tuesday in an anti-war protest that launched the six-day Caracas World Social Forum (WSF).
My government should not meddle anywhere, the “peace mom” told AFP during the march, which was marked by anti-Bush slogans. [...]
Sheehan, whose son Casey was killed in Iraq on April 4, 2004, said she would remain in Caracas until the WSF concludes on Sunday, and would address participants on several occasions.
She said Venezuela’s foreign ministry sponsored her visit (emphasis added).
That tears it.
The woman is a traitor in the truest sense of the term. Her son, had he not died serving his country with honor, would have disowned her — as her immediate family already have.
It’s time for those who are fed up with self-hating Americans like Sheehan to put their feet down. If Venezuela is really all that and a bag of chips to Sheehan and her ilk, why aren’t they moving there in droves? Surely their new bestest friend in the world will take them in without hesitation!
Enjoy your weekend tryst with your new sugar daddy, Cindy — and DON’T come back.
Update: Rob Port at Say Anything nails it:
Opposing President Bush and his policies is one thing. Taking sides against your own government with a non-friendly foreign government is quite another.

Get A Load of This…
So, she’s been anti-American for how long now? At least since the Clinton Administration? Yet, she gets all the press because she decided to camp outside Bush’s ranch to get another meeting with President Bush….
Can you imagine the howls of ‘Censorship!’ if she was actually brought up on charges of treason? Though the Dems appear to have no current use for her, probably because they hear elections approaching.
Allegiance to an Enemy…
Sheenan’s march, aids the anti-American effort…
The exportation of his Bolivarian revolution, to his neighbors:
“Amass the new armies of Hugo Chavez…
He holds America, and all that are its enemy.”…
I am an Iraq war vet Mar ‘03 to April ‘04.
I’m sorry her son was lost. There is no draft, we are all in the military by choice. The woman is mentally ill from the loss of her son – understood. I lost brothers there as well, but no one would ever side with the countries enemies no matter what you think of the president and the war. It is disgusting to see such a thing – a woman mugging it up with Hugo Chavez, a murderous dictator. Of course the media loves it because she is somehow “untouchable” because she lost her son. I lost a year of my life I gladly gave (and will give again)for the country I love, if her loss makes her untouchable then my loss gives me the right to say she disgraces the rest of the service men and woman who volunteer to serve their country and accept that it is not the boy/girl scouts – it’s the military – and sometimes you might have to go to war – sorry.
Stop making a fool of yourself Cindy Sheehan and stop disgracing the rest of us who served and those who lost their lives in honorable service to your country. Protest all you want/ embrace the enemies of my country and you are my enemy – a traitor.
