In response to the videos, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has called for an investigation of ACORN’s activities statewide. Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty has also directed his state government to halt all funding to ACORN.
On the federal level, the U.S. Senate voted 83-7 to cut off funding of the ACORN housing program. Seven senators have a lot of explaining to do.
O’Keefe and Giles are to be commended for doing the hard work that the mainstream media refuses to do.

Meanwhile (with the exception of Fox News Channel), the mainstream media outlets are busy seeing, speaking, and hearing no evil from ACORN.
ACORN is making futile attempts to cover their tracks and threatening to shoot the messengers via lawsuit threats.

Update: The San Bernardino Sun does a write-up including a response from one of the mentioned politicians. ACORN’s chief organizer for California quickly put a different spin on the video, dismissing Giles and O’Keefe as “actors”.

It seems that the radical organization acronymous with an oak nut fell not too far from the tree:
State investigators, armed with a search warrant, sought evidence of voter fraud at the office of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, known as ACORN, a Nevada secretary of state’s office spokesman said today.
“This is part of an ongoing investigation by the multijurisdictional task force that we announced this past July,” Secretary of State Ross Miller said in a statement. “We said then that we would work aggressively to protect the process. We’re going to do everything possible to ensure that Nevada’s voter rolls are protected and to ensure that only those who are eligible can cast a ballot.”
There are allegations that some registration applications were completed with false information, and other applications attempted to register the same persoon multiple times, Miller said.
“We’ve been told that some of the allegedly erroneous applications even included the names of players from the Dallas Cowboys football team,” Miller said.
The far left are now complaining of alleged Republican dirty tricks, despite the fact that Nevada’s Secretary of State and Attorney General (who authorized the raid) are registered Democrats.
