Michael Steele has been elected the new chairman of the Republican National Committee. Congratulations!
I am excited about Michael Steele. I think he is the best communicator that we have had at that position in a long time, and that he has the ability to take the GOP from what has become a somewhat regional party to a national party again. He was on Fox News Sunday this morning, and he took traditional Conservative principles and applied it to modern problems. Combined with the GOP standing strong in the house of Representatives, this has been a good week for the Republican Party.
