Debate #3: McCain vs. Obama

October 7th, 2008

What they said:

McCain won, but he didn’t score a knockout by any stretch of the imagination. Is this a game-changer? I think not. It may help narrow the gap a little, but I think the two men are pretty evenly matched in these debates. I wouldn’t expect a knockout in the last debate, either.

It was nice to see McCain put up his dukes and fight, although a bit of his RINO side was starting to show (he should’ve nailed Obama on “the 3 As” — Ayers, ACORN, and Alinsky, but he did call him to task on FreddieMae and his is proposed tax-and-spending proposals). Then again, given the stakes, better a moderate Republican who might listen to conservatives than a radical Democrat who will do whatever the Marxist voices in his head tell him to do.

Maybe the third one’s a charm…
