I don’t take joy in seeing businesses fail due to the economic crisis, but Bill Heard Enterprises — once the largest group of car dealers in the country — had it coming.

The economy had nothing to do with its closing.

I came close to buying a vehicle from a Bill Heard dealership a couple of years ago, but I’m glad that I didn’t.
