The funny thing is that conservatives are praising the speech, but then trying to find something to attack. Anything. Just something to discredit it. He advocated “cradle-to-grave socialism.” Really, when? Was that before or after discussing personal responsibility. Or maybe he promoted that “peace through weakness good. peace through strength bad.” Really? That’s the best you could critique. Somehow his speech about focusing the military on the real targets and getting the rest of the world involved turned into that critique. I can understand if you just don’t believe in his tax cut plan, or you don’t think he can afford it… but to literally take something he said and convert it to a tired anti-liberal talking point is sad.

It’s the same old warmed-up leftovers from Kerry, Gore, Clinton, Dukakis, Mondale, and Carter. All sizzle and no steak. Notify me when Barry O’Biden comes up with something worth writing home about, and maybe this ex-Kool-Aid drinking socialist will listen. — DCT
