“Blind Eyes Don’t Blink”

September 16th, 2004

James Hudnall made the above comment in reference to the anticipated memo controversy statement from CBS.

Given the following statement from CBS News president Andrew Heyward, Hud was right.

“We established to our satisfaction that the memos were accurate or we would not have put them on television. There was a great deal of coroborating [sic] evidence from people in a position to know. Having said that, given all the questions about them, we believe we should redouble our efforts to answer those questions, so that’s what we are doing.”

Actually, I was hoping for a statement similar to this one — or this one.

Update: bLogicus has the exhaustive version of the CBS statement posted.

Update: Hud has more.

Sir, your taste in satire and parody is most appreciated. I regret that the constraints of time deny the schmEditorial Bored of The Bogaeity Newsance Networkâ?¢ the opportunity to crank out Satire That Bites the Bad Dogmaâ?¢ more frequently.

We do, however, invite you and your followers to enjoy past BIGNEWSFLASHES at your leisure.

    Thanks again for the linkage.

I’m doubting you’ll get much apology until possibly the right apologizes for all the obvious lies and fabrication they so gleefully supported care of the Swift Boat vets.

Worse yet is the fact you are entering the ranks of those who willfully refuse to accept Bush might be a bad president with nothing good to show for his four years in office. Obfiscating the issues so as not to have to deal with any of the real questions.

Frankly, I’m not expecting anything from See B.S. regarding the fake memos.

When John Kerry releases his military service record to counter what the swifties and his own antiwar book have said about his service (which I’ve never put him down for, BTW), I’ll be happy to admit that the right was wrong in that case.

Also, I don’t ever recall stating that Bush was a perfect president. I’ve leveled deserved criticism at him many times on this blog and will continue to do so when it’s warranted. But given the hatred, demonizing, obsfucation, and thug tactics of the lying, lunatic left, I’d rather have four more years of Bush than one second of Kerry.
