I guess that ranting about the following in the past just wasn’t good enough.
As Las Vegas temperatures rise into the 110-degree range, a selfish mother decides to leave her kids inside her car.
From KTNV-TV:
A security guard tells Action News he called police after seeing a 2-year-old and 9-year-old who were in a car for almost an hour. Police say the two were dripping with sweat when pulled out. We’re told the mother went inside a store to buy a swimsuit. Then, when she returned to the car, it was out of gas. Police go onto say she went to get gas at a gas station, leaving the kids behind. They are with Child Protective Services. Their mother faces child endangerment charges
May the law throw the book at her.
DON’T leave your kids (or your pets) inside your car while you’re outside in triple-digit heat, damn it! If you love them, take them inside with you, or leave them supervised at your air-conditioned home.
If you’re incapable of doing either, you have no soul, AND you have NO business raising a child.
Update: The R-J reports:
Two hours before she was arrested for leaving children alone in a car on Monday, Tina Taylor beat a woman with a shoe, police said Tuesday.
Two pedestrians yelled at Taylor after she stopped her vehicle inside a crosswalk at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Lamb Boulevard, Las Vegas police spokesman Jose Montoya said.
Taylor then pulled into a parking lot, argued with a female pedestrian and struck her. When the victim fell to the ground, her sandal came off. Taylor picked up the shoe and hit the woman with it several times, Montoya said.
“Her sandal fell off, and Tina hit her with the sandal,” Montoya said.
Meanwhile, a passenger in Taylor’s car, Kevin Sandifer, got out of the vehicle and struck a male pedestrian with his fists until he was unconscious, Montoya said.
Taylor and Sandifer left before police arrived, but both were arrested about 2:30 p.m. after Taylor’s two children were left unattended in a vehicle for 40 minutes on the hottest day of the year.
Tina Taylor should’ve loved her two children just as much as she enjoyed beating up a pedestrian. May she also prosecuted for that as well.

From a Phoenician father: Damn straight.
It’s like tax evasion arrests in April. These are summertime Public Service Announcements, because “ranting about [it]in the past just wasnt good enough.”
Love Your Children
D.C. Thornton has a (unfortunately) timely posting on children, cars and summer days. Folks – DON’T LEAVE YOUR KIDS LOCKED UP IN HOT CARS!
How fucking hard is that?
How about “Don’t leave your kids in the car, period”? It doesn’t take triple-digit heat, or even a sunny day, for the temperature inside a closed car to rise dangerously high. When my parents travel with their dog, they park next to a grassy median – preferably shady – and have a special leash that they can affix to the axle. Then they fill up his water and food dishes and do whatever it is they have to do that requires a parked car. They never leave him in the car, even with the windows down, because the temperature still climbs.
