Earlier this morning at the box office, I declined the former and chose the latter.
A very excellent choice, I might add. An action film that took the themes of choice, honesty, and heroism and spun a fine web (no pun intended) of a story. It wasn’t preachy, over-the-top, or pessimistic. And in a nod to the classic films of yesteryear, despite conflicts and frailties, love and honor conquer all.
I guess you could say that ‘Spider-Man 2′ did a better job in renewing my hope for America than ‘Fahrenheit 9/11′ ever could.
I left the theater today determined to do everything in my power to keep J. Jonah Jameson from taking over The White House.
