Despite the false hope of a deadline extension, Kim Sung-il was murdered by rabid Wahhabist dogs.
South Korea confirmed Tuesday that one of its citizens held hostage in Iraq had been killed in spite of promises of an extended deadline to meet his captors’ demands.
The South Korean foreign ministry issued a statement confirming that businessman Kim Sun-il had been killed by his Al Qaeda-linked kidnappers, according to Yonhap, the South Korean news agency.
Al-Jazeera television reported that Kim, 33, had been beheaded, but the South Korean ministry didn’t discuss the nature of his killing.
Kim’s body was found west of Baghdad by U.S. personnel at 5:20 p.m. Iraq time, South Korean Foreign Ministry spokesman Shin Bong-kil told Yonhap.
The South Korean embassy in Baghdad confirmed the body was Kim’s by studying an e-mailed photograph, Shin said.
“It breaks our heart that we have to announce this unfortunate news,” he added.
Brig. Gen. Mark Kimmitt, coalition deputy operations chief, said the body of an Asian male was found west of Baghdad on Tuesday evening.
“It appears that the body had been thrown from a vehicle,” Kimmitt said in a statement. “The man had been beheaded, and the head was recovered with the body.”
President Bush condemned the hostage’s murder as “barbaric.”
Al-Jazeera, an Arabic-language satellite station, first reported Kim’s death, saying it had received a videotape of Kim and his captors. The tape didn’t show his beheading and Al-Jazeera did not say how it got the tape or when Kim had been killed.
Kim’s abductors originally threatened to execute the hostage by Tuesday if South Korea didn’t call off its planned deployment of about 3,000 troops to Iraq. The kidnappers then extended their execution deadline during negotiations, according to Ahmed al-Ghreiri, an employee of the NKTS security firm that had been acting as an intermediary.
But his captors apparently changed their minds and decapitated Kim anyway.
(Note to FOX News and the rest of the news media: Don’t hold back. Don’t be politically correct. Start using the word ‘murder’ — because Kim, Paul Johnson, and Nick Berg were murdered.)
Those monsters can’t be reasoned with, and negotiatiating with them is futile. They must be destroyed for the sake of civilization.

Update (6/22): Not only did the murderers behead Kim, they placed a booby trap inside his body in hopes of killing his rescuers. Where is the outrage? (via Ramblings’ Journal)

Kim Sun-il Beheaded
Al Jazeera, ABC and Fox News have reported that South Korean hostage Kim Sun-il has been beheaded by terrorists in Iraq. Fox News showed a new video of terrorists standing behind the hostage reading a statement while he was apparently…
Spot on.
I’m getting tired of ‘executed’, ‘killed’ or ’slain’. Murdered is the proper term; although I’m tempted to favor ‘martyred’ for psyops purposes.
They can’t be reasoned with, anymore than a rabid dog can. Destroy them, or capture them and study them in if you can, but they must be stopped. Whatever it takes.
Berg first then Paul Johnson and now the poor Korean … Thats really sad
!
The score is 3-0, three heads to none. Its time to fight violence with violence. Its the only way to get this enemies attention.
It’s so awful that an innocent man was slayed… I’m also Korean and I was able to watch the news with lots of details on korean news. Terrorists should NOT bother any innocent citizens or capture innocent people for negotiation. Mr. Kim’s parents fainted at least twice and were in hospital… perhaps war in Iraq shouldnt have happened… so many people died including the people in Iraq, the US, and everywhere… Mr. Kim was captured for almost a month, the INNOCENT man yelling “I don’t want to die” ! this is such a nightmare… the terrorists who killed him should be captured IMMIDIATELY before they murder another innocent person, who would yell for his/her life once more… I know that Korean soldiers should help the US to end wars immediately but they are soldiers… Mr. Kim was just an ordinary man, beheaded for no reason… except being the “US’s supporter” who was NOT involved/related to the US what so ever in Iraq- The Iraqi terrorists should KNOW and REFLECT THAT they killed someone who has parents, and three sisters and being is the only son. BLESS Mr. Kim sun-il……… God is with you…
I don’t agree with you skeeter, its not about fighting violence with violence, because thats what already happening! .. i believe its time to stop the cccupation of Iraq by the americans
for you kind information you may forget thousands innocent people from Afghanistan & Iraq killed by US forces whitout any reason now the time to stop the war for the peace and happiness
The problem are those dammed gods, whether they are jewish, christian, muslim or other. There will be no peace on this planet unless we forget these nonexisting monsters. When someday all religion has vanished, then all humans can be united as sisters and brothers.
