Apocalypse 2004

September 7th, 2003

James Hudnall predicts a surprise for the Democrats next November — but not the one their party leaders are clamoring for.

When even the Washington Post is complaining about the Democrats like this, they are in for such a trouncing they will be shaking from the terror for decades. The left wing Dems have severely miscalculated when it comes to the anger Americans still feel over 9/11. They don’t understand what a change in the political climate has come about since that day. People are sick and tired of the weak mantras and blame America message that so many of them preach.

It’s also apparent that many of them want the economy to be bad, and things to worsen in Iraq and Afghanistan, so they can blame it on the president. The problem is, the economy is improving by leaps and bounds and things are much better in Iraq and Afghanistan than the media wants to admit. More and more Taliban, al-Qaeda and Ba’athists are being killed or rounded up. The incidents we keep hearing about are acts of desperation. [...]

Not that Republicans are saints, far from it. Bush has expanded big government and spending more than anyone since Truman. That’s got to cause some problems down the road. His administration’s handling of security in transportation is a joke, the diplomacy with other countries has been often crude and counter productive and nothing’s been done to secure our borders. Immigration is still a mess and the feds don’t seem to be doing anything to stop insane policies like drivers licenses for illegal immigrants.

But by contrast, the Democrats come off far worse. Because they don’t have any solutions to problems, just complaints. They have been blatantly enabling illegal immigration with their sponsoring of drivers licenses for illegals and other such silliness, obviously in an attempt to get more voters, legal or otherwise. And their Taliban-like tactics on smoking in states like New York and California makes them look like extremists.
